No, we're not selling martial arts swords here. But we are selling the racks to store or display them. They are specifically designed for the 'Iaido' style martial arts swords, but we won't judge you harshly if you use yours for calvary swords.

Solid hickory construction with 'keyhole' mounting brackets for invisible support. The rack shown holds up to nine swords. Of course you can request the size that fits your needs. We have made most racks from hickory, but will make yours of any wood we have available to us and is suitable for the application.

Moen Symbol

If you practice Iado martial arts, you will probably recognize the moen symbol. This inlay is 24 inches across and is composed of purple heart wood inlaid into the birch circle, with the purple heart design protruding about one eighth inch out from the background.

Mud Room Bench

Utility Room Bench.

We made this Utility Room Bench to fit exactly into a space that had been reserved for it. The lid can be left at any degree of 'open' to allow easy access. The inside base of the bench is constructed of spaced slats for circulation of air, accomodating wet or damp boots.

The construction was of old growth, vertical grained fir, stained to match the cabinetry and trim in the rest of the house. As the walls were already treated with Thomas Kinkade wallpaper borders, the owner requested that the theme be continued on the front of the bench. So, the front is hand painted with acrylics, recreating and amplifying upon this well-recognized Thomas Kinkade theme.

Stained Glass Frame

Stained Glass Window Frame.

At Sequim Bay Company, we don't make your stained glass window. We make the frame that holds it. This frame is really two solid oak frames, each designed to be the 'front.' The stained glass window is fixed between them. One side is vertically grained, the other is horizontally grained. Together, they provide maximum strength for the heavy, and obviously delicate stained glass. The window is the creation of Sandy Goldstien.

Planter or Window Box

Planters and window boxes are easy to find and often cheap to buy, except when you want one that has to fit in a particular place or under a particular window and have a finish that matches its surroundings. We've produced planters and window boxes of varying sizes and shapes and finished to specification in natural colors to faux antique green.

Specialty Gift or Welcome Baskets

Our Gift or Welcome Baskets will reflect whatever theme you desire. Often, they have been strong on our local area products and some have contained one of our signature cooking planks. We use a small picket fence holder instead of an actual basket to accommodate our selections. It can be used as a planter holder after its primary function is complete. If you have the need for a gift or welcome basket, let us know if you have a theme in mind and a price range and we'll go from there.

We've also made custom desks, beds, bookshelves, an entertainment center, and more, but you'd probably be better off going to your local cabinetmaker for those things.
